COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKRC) – Thousands of ice cream cartons were recalled in four states, including the State of Ohio.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an alert regarding a voluntary recall of 40,128 cartons of Sundae Shoppe Cookies and Cream Mochi Ice Cream. The recall was initiated on April 3 and formally classified on Monday.
The recall was initiated due to the inclusion of wheat and soy, which was not declared on the product label. It was categorized as a Class ll recall, meaning the FDA believes the products recalled “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health effects.”
According to The Healthy, the cartons were sold at certain Aldi locations.

Gordon Desserts, doing business as Mochidoki, voluntarily issued the recall. Any details regarding customer refunds were not included in the FDA’s alert.
