Zack’s Frozen Yogurt in Stratford continues last day of school ice cream for breakfast tradition

Zack’s Frozen Yogurt is opening its doors early Tuesday, serving ice cream for breakfast to celebrate the last day of school in Stratford.

The tradition had been hosted by Micalizzi for years, but last June, a fire destroyed their storefront, and they have yet to reopen.

While they were still able to serve ice cream to students thanks to a truck, the store suffered another tragedy this April, when owner Jay Piccirillo unexpectedly passed away at the age of 54.

So, now Zack’s is stepping in and making sure the tradition continues – open from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m.
