
Police are investigating a robbery with aggravation that occurred at the Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream in Port of Spain on Friday.
Reports indicate that around 10:51pm, two male suspects entered the establishment, located at the corner of Queen’s Park West and Dundonald Street, while several workers were on duty.
The suspects reportedly announced a robbery and instructed the workers to lie on the ground.
One appeared to be holding a firearm.
According to statements, one of the suspects shouted that they did not want any phones and demanded money. One of the suspects then reportedly grabbed the cash register, which was said to contain $1,337.
After seizing the cash register, both suspects fled the scene through the front entrance of the business and were last seen running south along Dundonald Street.
No injuries were reported.
