ABILENE, Texas — The Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy location by Hardin-Simmons University is set to open Tuesday.
The popular ice cream and burger chain announced that the store will host a grand opening celebration April 21-27.
The restaurant will open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and is located at 1600 Ambler Ave.
During the celebration, customers will have the chance to win prizes including a $100 Braum’s gift card, wireless headphones, a laptop computer, and free Braum’s food and merchandise.
Customers 15 years old or younger can get a free single dip of ice cream in store between 1-6 p.m. April 26.
The restaurant is the same size and interior design as the first Abilene location on Judge Ely Blvd. However, the brickwork matches the HSU campus.

The business also announced new limited-time ice cream flavors and sundaes. There will be four new sundaes and six new ice cream flavors during the summer.
This location marks the second of three in Abilene. Although an opening date has not been announced, the final location will be located at the intersection of Antilley Rd. and Memorial Dr.
