A freeze-dried twist on a Cincinnati classic is coming to Kings Island this year.The popular blue ice cream will now be offered in a freeze-dried form.The unique new dessert comes from the mind of a teen entrepreneur.Freezin’ with Aubrie partnered with Kings Island to offer her freeze-dried treats starting opening weekend.Guests will be able to find the dessert at various gift shops throughout the park.Freeze dried candies have become quite the dessert craze over the past few years, with many options being created out of candies.The concept takes regular candy and remove the moisture to give it a light, crunchy texture.Aubrie said she was inspired by watching freeze dried candy made on TikTok and decided to use up her own money to buy her own freeze dryer.Now, she has her own store in Florence, Kentucky, distributing treats to places like The Cincinnati Zoo, Jungle Jim’s, Plato’s Closet, Once Upon a Child, The Cincinnati Museum Center, CVG Airport, Dorothy Lane Market and now Kings Island.Her idea has grown into a full-time business, employing 22 people now. .They business offers 100 varieties of freeze-dried sweets, including candy, ice cream, cheesecake, s’mores, and cookies.
