It’s almost that time of year for Livingston County’s highly-anticipated Melon Ice Cream.

The melon-flavored frozen treat is officially available for preorder in 48-ounce containers at $23 each, according to a media release from the Howell Rotary Club.

Fans of the ice cream can place their orders online at howellmelonicecream.com for pick-up the following days at the bus parking lot between 411 N. Highlander Way and 511 N. Highlander Way:

Those who don’t preorder can purchase single servings during the Howell Melon Festival on the lawn of the Livingston County Historic Courthouse — but take note, the ice cream sells out every year.

The Howell Melon Festival will celebrate 65 years during the event Aug. 14-17, with various activities, live music, sweet treats and vendors.
