GOSHEN, Ind. (WSBT) — A popular ice cream shop has opened its doors for the season in Goshen.
People lined up in front of The Chief around 3:00 Tuesday afternoon to get their favorite desserts.
The walk-up shop offers a variety of flavors including peanut butter explosion, salted caramel, and funfetti!
The iconic ice cream shop opened for the first time in 1962.
This is the 8th season of business for the Goshen location.
“I think what makes The Chief The Chief is tradition. I would say a half hour before we opened today, people were in line, a lot of people. What is it 45 degrees right now? Thank goodness for the sun, but it’s cold and people are here getting their first banana split of the season,” said Tracy Klopfenstein, The Chief Ice Cream Owner.
