Samuel Barney, 36 and of Languard Road in Southampton, admitted to the theft as well as theft from a motor vehicle and fraud by false representation.
He attended Poole Magistrates’ Court on March 17 for the offences in Poole.
It was said that on August 12 the defendant stole a wallet and bank cards from a vehicle before using them in a shop on Ashley Road in Poole.
A month later, on September 21, Barney then stole Ben & Jerry’s ice creams to the value of £190.40 from Co-op in Upton.
Samuel Barney, 36 and of Languard Road in Southampton, was conditionally discharged for 18 months and ordered to pay £190.40 in compensation.
