Mayfield Dairy Farms plans ice cream giveaway in Nashville: How to go

Moove over ice cream competitors, Athens, Tennessee-based Mayfield Dairy Farms is giving away it’s Moose Tracks ice cream in Nashville for a limited time on June 12.

The free ice cream is part of the Moose Tracks 10,000 scoop challenge, and it’s happening as temperatures reach the mid to upper 80s in Music City.

The free scoops will be handed out from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Downtown Walk of Fame Park, 121 4th Ave. South.

Every scoop of the creamy desert that’s given away will result in a $1 donation to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, organizers announced.

Mayfield’s Moose Tracks is a vanilla ice cream with peanut butter cups and fudge swirls.

Mayfield Dairy Farm, about 188 miles east of Nashville, opened in 1910.
