In the video of the incident, a suspect is seen on camera at LIX Uptown Ice Cream, located off of 7th Avenue and Osborn Road. The suspect walks in with a bag and pulls out what appears to be a gun, gesturing to the cash register. The suspect then takes the money in the cash register before leaving, and the employees can be seen making a phone call.

12News reached out to the Phoenix Police Department, which confirmed there was an armed robbery on Friday, May 23. Officers learned the suspect entered the store and demanded money, threatening the woman working with a gun.

“The suspect left the area and has not been identified at this time. I do not show any reports of an injury,” Phoenix police told 12News.
