Portland Art Museum offers ice cream and free admission on Sunday

Mostly Sunny

Admission is free at the Portland Art Museum on Sunday and Salt & Straw will offer free scoops of ice cream in the afternoon.

Sunday’s Miller Family Community Free Day celebrates Portland’s “irrepressible creative spirit” and collaborations between the museum and Oregon businesses in support of an expansion that the museum will unveil later this year.

The museum, located on Southwest Park Ave, will offer free admission from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Roseline Coffee will host a blind tasting game and visitors are invited to paint watercolor roses inspired by the International Rose Test Garden.

Salt & Straw will be on site from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday to offer free ice cream tasting. Visitors can also meet Portland fashion designer Elizabeth Dye for a brooch making event.
