Dorset based ice cream chain Babboo Gelato is another popular choice with venues at Weymouth Beach, Felicity’s Farm Shop in Morcombelake, Institute Road in Swanage, a harbourside kiosk in West Bay and two venues in Lyme Regis.
One Google reviewer said: “Lovely staff as always- a seagull sadly ate mine and they offered to give me another. This is the best ice cream in all of Dorset.”

Gelateria Beppino, Bridport
The little café located on West Street in Bridport is a great spot to grab an ice cream or coffee and also serves a selection of handmade cakes.
One Google reviewer said: “The Seville orange ice cream was as good, if not better than any ice cream I have had in Italy (and there have been many). Clean, contemporary décor inside with outdoor pavement seating also an option.
“Delicious range of Italian delicacies to purchase at the counter too, and all very reasonably priced.”

Harbour Gifts, West Bay
Harbour Gifts in West Bay is another great spot to grab a sweet treat and also doubles up as a gift shop if you fancy a browse.
A Google reviewer said: “Huge whippy for a great price. Best value I have ever seen anywhere. Awesome balancing skills.”

Newton’s Cove, Weymouth
So whether you fancy tackling the skyscraper ice cream on your own or with a friend it’s a great option.
There are no set opening hours for the kiosk so those wishing to get their hands on one will just have to turn up.
