Washington County’s summer trail is open

Washington County has launched the 2025 Ice Cream Trail, according to an announcement. The trail kicked off on June 3 and will run until Sept. 22. This initiative invites residents and visitors to explore local ice cream shops while enjoying unique flavors.

Participants can download the official Ice Cream Trail map from the Washington County website at washco-md.net/icecreamtrail. The map lists all participating shops and provides instructions on how to complete the trail. To participate, individuals must visit each ice cream shop, enjoy a treat and get their map stamped at each location.

Once participants complete the trail, they can submit their stamped map via an online form or by mail. Those who finish by the end of summer will receive a free commemorative t-shirt as a reward. This program aims to promote local businesses while offering a fun summer activity for ice cream lovers of all ages.

For more information, including how to download the map and stay updated on trail details, go to washco-md.net/icecreamtrail. Residents can also join the official Washington County Ice Cream Trail Group on Facebook to connect with fellow participants. For additional inquiries, contact the Public Relations and Marketing Department at 240-313-2380 or pr@washco-md.net.
