2022 Montgomery shooting suspect identified, charged with 3 counts of capital murder

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Court documents are providing new information from a shooting that took place in 2022, claiming the life of a 3-year-old.

On Feb. 11, 2022, Montgomery police responded to the area of North Decatur Street and Graves Street around 1:45 p.m., where Ja’Seyon Green was shot, according to Montgomery Police Department.

On May 1, 2025, Kourtney Brisker, 27, was identified as the shooter and charged with three counts of capital murder.

Court filings indicate that Brisker did intentionally killed Green by shooting him while driving his vehicle in the North Decatur Street area. Green was taken to a nearby hospital, but later pronounced dead.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately clear.
