4 new things to eat this week

We cover new restaurant openings literally all the time at our sister site, SiouxFalls.Business, which also means we can dig into the menu so you know what’s in store for you. Here are our four picks to eat this week.

Ironwood Steakhouse at The Steel District added a weekend brunch menu, starting on Easter weekend. Our pick is Bananas Foster French Toast with thick-cut French toast, caramelized bananas, praline nuts, brown sugar sauce and whipped cream. It’s served with a micro salad. Brunch is available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The new Al Pastor Tacos at MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub feature smoked pork shoulder, queso fresco, pineapple salsa and “a punchy orange hot sauce,” all tucked into warm corn tortillas and finished with fresh lime.

Monks Ale House has a feature this month for those who love pineapple on pizza. Maui Wowie has pineapple, ham, jalapeno, cream cheese, classic red sauce and mozzarella on a crispy crust. 

Ending with something sweet, the featured treat for May at Stensland Family Farms is the Gummy Bear Shake. It’s packed with dips of  Farmhouse Original Ice Cream, strawberry sorbet and flavors of orange, lime, lemon and apple, topped with whipped cream and gummy bears.
