In the year 2025, it’s safe to say that anything can happen. With that being said, we absolutely did not have Costco shoppers feuding with Cookie Monster on our Bingo card.

The Cookie Monster controversy unfolded after food influencer Laura Lamb of @costcohotfinds shared with her followers that Cookie Monster Ice Cream Bars are now available at Costco.

“They’re made with Madagascar vanilla ice cream and there are pieces of chocolate sandwich cookies mixed in. They were sampling them in the store and I’ll admit I went back for seconds on these,” said Lamb in her video.

What has a number of people up in arms in the comments section is the lengthy ingredients list for the Cookie Monster Ice Cream Bars. One person went so far as to offer this stern warning: “Don’t give these to your children.”

“3rd ingredient is corn syrup, 4th is high fructose corn syrup, also has blue dye, preservatives, and artificial flavors. Hard pass,” said one follower.

“It’s clear that the majority of your engaged audience care about ingredients. Why haven’t you made the shift to align with that yet?” another person chimed in.

There were others in the comments section who weren’t phased by the “almond moms” and their calls for transparency over ingredients.

For those who are interested in buying the new frozen treat, you can purchase a 10-count pack of Cookie Monster Ice Cream Bars at Costco for $15.49.

Will you be purchasing the ice cream bars or are you also turned off by the ingredients list?
