“Two of Washington, DC’s beloved culinary destinations, Anju and Dolcezza, are teaming up for an exciting new collaboration launching on May 1st, 2025. The result is Sweet Corn Gelato, inspired by a popular Korean ingredient that perfectly exemplifies the creativity and craftsmanship of both brands. This gelato will be available at all Dolcezza locations through May 14th, while Anju will spotlight it in a playful and delicious Hotteok Sundae, presenting a modern twist on the traditional Korean sweet street food.
The collaboration is a natural extension of the long-standing friendship between Chef Angel Barreto of Anju and Robb Duncan, owner of Dolcezza. Anju has frequently featured Dolcezza’s artisanal gelato on its menu, making this new creation a seamless partnership.
“We’ve always loved working with Dolcezza, and the idea of creating something special together was exciting. The Sweet Corn Ice Cream captures a flavor that’s familiar yet completely unique,” says Chef Angel Barreto.
This collaboration highlights the dynamic synergy between Anju’s bold culinary vision and Dolcezza’s artisanal expertise, bringing a fresh, innovative dessert to Washington, DC’s thriving food scene just in time for the warmer months.
