The “Ice Cream Bandits” who recently targeted the Big Dipper BBQ 2 ice cream shop in Conklin, have been identified and are now in custody, according to the business’s Facebook page.
Owners say police credited the Big Dipper BBQ 2’s loyal customers for the swift arrest.
“The sheriff’s department said we must have an extremely loyal customer base because they have never seen the amount of people who called and messaged to try and help find these people.”
On April 19, the owners of the Conklin Avenue shop asked the public for help and shared surveillance photos after vandals stole an air conditioner and ice cream and broke the door.
