The grocery chain just announced their new “Summer in a Pint” collection, featuring four all-new ice cream and sherbet flavors inspired by summer getaways. Intrigued? With one spoonful, you can be transported to your favorite camping spot, onto a Southern beach, to a poolside lounger, or all the way to Italy.

In honor of the new collection—and the summer equinox—Kroger is celebrating with a major giveaway: 92,000 pints of free ice cream on June 20, 2025. That’s 1,000 pints of ice cream for each of summer’s 92 days, the company announced in a press release.
“We’re thrilled to launch the Summer in a Pint collection offering customers a taste of summer paradise—no passport or boarding pass needed,” said Mike Murphy, Group Vice President of Center Store Merchandising at Kroger. “Last year, we were blown away by customer excitement for our free pint offer and this summer we are making it even sweeter. Kroger is giving away 92,000 free pints of ice cream so more customers can celebrate the start of summer with a taste of our new flavors.”
To score a free pint of Kroger brand ice cream on June 20, including pints from the new summer collection, customers can visit FreeKrogerIceCream.com for a downloadable, single-use digital coupon while supplies last. The coupon giveaway will begin at 12 p.m. EST. Your free pint can be redeemed through Friday, July 4. (Unfortunately, this promotion excludes Louisiana and Tennessee.)
