FLORENCE, Ky. (WKRC) — A local teen entrepreneur is set to introduce a new treat at Kings Island this summer.
Aubrie Sink, the founder of Freezin’ with Aubrie, is adding the park’s famous blue ice cream to her lineup of freeze-dried treats.
The freeze-dried blue ice cream will be available exclusively at Kings Island starting on opening weekend. With a limited supply of 3,250 bags, the treat will be sold at various gift shops throughout the park.
Aubrie’s journey began when she was inspired by TikTok videos showcasing freeze-dried candy. At 14, she used her earnings from selling homemade jam and apple butter to purchase her first freeze dryer. Now 17, Aubrie has opened her own store in Florence in June 2023, and her freeze-dried treats are distributed at numerous Tri-State locations.
The business boasts over 100 varieties of freeze-dried sweets, including candy, ice cream, cheesecake, s’mores, and cookies, available in 32 states.
In June 2023, Aubrie’s mother left her full-time job to become the full-time owner of the business. The company employs 22 people, primarily students from the community, who assist in preparing and packaging the treats and greeting guests at the store.
