PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – Bad news for the sweet treat lovers – more than 16,000 gallons of ice cream and frozen yogurt have been recalled for plastic contamination.
The recall come from Wells Enterprises who manufactures some of America’s favorite brands like Blue Bunny, Halo Top, the Bomb Pop and Blue Ribbon Classics.
The FDA has classified the recall as a Class II, meaning exposure to the product could cause minor or temporary health issues. At this time, no injuries have been reported.
The recall affects 3-gallon tubs of:
- Rocky Road Flavored Ice Cream
- Mocha Almond Fudge Ice Cream
- Peanut Butter ‘N Fudge Ice Cream
- Country Rich Vanilla Ice Cream
- Scooper Hero Ice Cream
- Cotton Candy Flavored Ice Cream
- GFGB Vanilla Bean Flavored Ice Cream
- Quick Blend Vanilla Flavored Ice Cream,
- Planet Smoothie ZSA Vanilla Flavored Fat Free Frozen Yogurt
- Johnny Rockets Vanilla Flavored Ice Cream
- BIPC Flavored Ice Cream
- Vanilla Frozen Yogurt
- Vanilla Flavored Ice Cream
- GFGB 12% Vanilla Flavored Ice Cream
