Friday afternoon, the Imlay City Downtown Development Authority (DDA) welcomed Meesch’s Ice Cream to the community with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Meesch’s, located at 218 E. Third St., is owned by Imlay City resident Shelley Vermeesch and her 19-year-old son, Matthew, an Imlay City High School graduate. The store dishes out 24 flavors of ice cream, along with Hershey’s classics, gluten-free, dairy-free and sugar-free options, shakes, Boba teas and “pup cups” for dogs.
