POCOMOKE — The Department of Natural Resource’s Office of Outdoor Recreation and the Department of Agriculture’s Maryland’s Best program have partnered for the second year on having families take the Maryland Ice Cream Trail — the state’s official trek that features 14 dairies that produce and serve farm-fresh ice cream.
While there are no participants in Somerset County, the closest are Chesapeake Bay Farms with one location off Dividing Creek Road at 4111 Whitesburg Road near Pocomoke City and the other in Berlin at 8905 Logtown Road.
Both make their ice cream with milk from the last working dairy farm in Worcester County.
For updates follow Facebook or contact them at Dairyfarm@supportlocalcows.com or 443-373-8487 (Pocomoke) or 410-603-2149 (Berlin).
The only other Eastern Shore ice cream producer is Lockbriar Farms, 10051 Worton Road in Kent County, near Chestertown.
