The return of fine weather promises to be gourmet with Bachir ice creams in a pop-up at Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées! Following the success of its previous pop-ups at Galeries Lafayette Champs-Elysées, Lebanese ice cream maker Bachir is back until June 9 to treat strollers on the legendary Parisian avenue.
Straight from Lebanon, and more precisely from the small village of Bikfaya, Bachir ice creams were created in 1936 by two brothers, Edouard and Maurice Bachir. Together, they developed tasty, light recipes. Their secret? Unique Lebanese know-how and unusual ingredients such as mastic (pistachio sap), orange blossom and rose water.
85 years and some fifty stores later, the up-and-coming ice cream company is now exporting to France. At the helm of their Parisian stores are the Bachir daughters: Marilyne, Caroline and Jessy. A successful gamble for the three sisters: rain or shine, not a day goes by without customers flocking to their stores for a taste of the famous Lebanese ice cream.

Among the flavors on offer, you’ll find achta, THE house specialty, made with milk flower, mastic and orange blossom, all coated with crushed pistachios. Eleven other flavors are also available: rose petal, pistachio, almond, blackberry, vanilla, strawberry, apricot, lemon, intense chocolate, milk chocolate and coffee.
All the ingredients are certified organic, the whipped cream is homemade, and the ice creams can be coated with pistachio slivers. So many reasons to treat yourself to a Bachir ice cream.
