Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream is opening its newest ice cream shop within Seattle.

The new location will be along Seattle’s waterfront, making it an ideal stop for ferry riders, tourists, and locals alike.

This marks Molly Moon’s 10th location in Western Washington and its seventh in Seattle.

“Situated amidst Pioneer Square, the Stadium District, and Waterfront Park, this scoop shop has one of the best views in all of Seattle,” Molly Moon’s stated. “This location is a great place to spend a beautiful afternoon or evening, watching the iconic Washington State Ferries coming in and out of the harbor or strolling the Waterfront Park with a scoop of our homemade ice cream.”

The shop will be located at 199 Alaskan Way, open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Salt & Straw ends expansion plans for Pike Place

This move comes a month after Salt & Straw, another Washington favorite for ice cream, bowed out of moving into Pike Place Market.

The ice creamery was set to move into 102 Pike St. on First Avenue, right across from Pike Place Market, replacing a Starbucks location that closed last year, but announced in April that the company is not seeing those plans through.
